ChemT Becomes the First Singapore Company to Win the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition

ChemT Biotechnology has made history as the first Singapore company to win the Grand Prize at the 12th Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition (LKYGBPC), organised by the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Singapore Management University (SMU).

Held in honor of Singapore’s founding father, Lee Kuan Yew, the competition recognizes Deeptech startups creating global impact through innovation. This year’s edition saw over 1,500 startups worldwide across Biotech, Climate Tech, and Nanotech sectors.

ChemT stood out for its breakthrough AI-powered biotechnology platform, which designs small molecules to make biologics manufacturing faster, more efficient, and scalable. As the demand for biologics and cell therapies continues to rise, innovation in biomanufacturing is key to improving access to life-saving medicines - a mission at the heart of ChemT’s work.

This victory marks a major milestone for ChemT and underscores Singapore’s growing presence in the global Deeptech ecosystem.
