Singapore, December 15, 2024 – ChemT Biotechnology is delighted to welcome Prof. Charlie Cooney, Robert T. Haslam Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering at MIT, as an advisor to the company. In his new role, Prof. Cooney will provide strategic guidance on regulatory affairs, technology scale-up, and sustainable manufacturing, supporting ChemT Bio’s mission to advance its AI-powered biomanufacturing platforms.

Prof. Cooney brings decades of experience bridging academia, industry, and regulatory bodies. He currently serves on the boards of GreenLight Biosciences, Mitra Biotech, and Innovent Biologics, and is an advisor to the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology (SMART). Previously, he chaired the U.S. FDA Advisory Committee for Pharmaceutical Science (2004–2006) and served on the boards of Genzyme, Astra AB, Biocon, and Pall Corporation.
