ChemT Biotechnology Named an Awardee of Johnson & Johnson’s Data & AI Fueling R&D of Tomorrow QuickFire Challenge: Singapore & Beyond
ChemT Biotechnology has been selected as an awardee of the Johnson & Johnson Data & AI Fueling R&D of Tomorrow QuickFire Challenge: Singapore & Beyond.
The award provides grant funding, mentorship, & one-year virtual membership at JLABS Singapore to help scale our innovations.
The recognition will support ChemT’s mission to apply AI driven solutions to understand and modulate cellular behavior, enabling more efficient, scalable, and predictable biomanufacturing.
SINGAPORE, 24 July 2026 - ChemT Biotechnology has been named an awardee of the Data & AI Fueling R&D of Tomorrow QuickFire Challenge: Singapore & Beyond, an initiative by Johnson & Johnson focused on advancing innovative approaches that harness data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to transform drug discovery & research
As part of the award, ChemT will receive grant funding and mentorship from Johnson & Johnson, as well as virtual membership in the JLABS Singapore network. This opportunity provides ChemT with access to a global innovation ecosystem as the company continues to develop AI-driven solutions for one of the most critical and challenging areas in biomanufacturing: understanding and modulating cellular behaviour towards optimizing manufacturing processes.
The award comes as ChemT continues to expand the development and application of CelMo™ across different cellular systems and biomanufacturing workflows. By combining virtual cell modelling, perturbation prediction and de novo small-molecule design, CelMo™ shows how AI can shift biomanufacturing from empirical optimisation to tunable cellular control, improving yield, shortening timelines, enhancing scalability and reducing cost.
